Clubs, Extracurricular, & Organizations

Pine Springs Prep was proud to roll out the first of it’s clubs in the 2018-2019 school year.  Below are our list of clubs for the 2019-2020 school year!

Girls on the Run (coming in the Spring of 2020)

Girls on the Run is open to girls in grades 3rd-5th grade.  Mrs. Lord brought Girls on the Run to Pine Springs Prep last school year.  The club inspires girls to take charge of their lives and define the future on their terms. It’s a place where girls learn that they can. It’s full of opportunities to be remarkable.  Our Girls on the Run Club embark on a mock 5K and then a local 5K race within the community.  Way to go girls!

National Junior Honor Society

The National Junior Honor Society is the nation’s premier organization established to recognize outstanding middle level students. More than just an honor roll, NJHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship. Seventh graders are inducted in the spring. Students are invited to apply for membership based on all five tenets of the NJHS. Students will serve during their 8th grade year and are required to complete volunteer hours for the good of the school and their community. This is open to rising 8th graders, by application and selection.

Science Fair

Pine Springs is proud to participate in the Science Fair again this year.  More Info Coming Soon!

Science Olympiad

Open to students in grades 3rd-5th grade. This is a fantastic opportunity to compete head to toe with some of the smartest students in the state in the STEM areas (science, technology, engineering, and math).  This is also a great opportunity to develop practical, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.  Connect with  University and corporate sponsors.  Participants will compete in 2-3 events at the regional competition in March!  We are excited to launch this new club this year!

Student Council

Our Student Council is open to students in 6th-8th grade.  In the 2018-2019 school year the Student Council participated in the school ribbon cutting ceremony with Mayor Sears and the Director of Charter Schools.  In addition, they hosted two middle school dances, they served as reading buddies to elementary aged students, spearheaded a school wide drive for “Tabs for Charity” for the McDonald House, were greeters at the Multicultural Fair, and launched morning announcements at Pine Springs Prep.
